For the second year in a row we marched near the start of the parade, led by our faithful flag bearers, who carried our white banner for the last time. The crowd cheered us on as we passed, and clapped along to both “Copacobana” and “The Hey Song”.
At the end of the march the band gathered under the rotunda and played to all those groups still making their way to the end. This emerging tradition started in 2004 and from the reaction of crowd and other marching groups it will be one that endures. The MRB finished our part in the day as the first act of the evening concert.
