Pride March is one of our most visible performances during the year. This year, thanks to our marching instructor Mark, we added innovative choreography to our march. While it took us a number of nerve-wracking rehearsals, including one where three ranks of the band ended up at opposite ends of the practice field, in the end we were able to perfect some simple and effective movements.
For the second year in a row we marched near the front of the parade. At the conclusion of the parade we entertained the remainder of the marchers by performing two 20-minute sets in the Catani Gardens Rotunda. Music was drawn from the Combo Blaster books (generously purchased by our trombone section leader), and proved to be a hit.
