JOY 94.9 Picnic in the Park – Mt Macedon

January 26, 2010

Once again, Victoria put on a delightful sunny day for the annual JoyFM picnic held at Forest Glade, Mt Macedon. Our patron, Cyril Stokes, kindly opens his beautiful gardens each Australia Day which gives the Melbourne Rainbow Band, Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus and Motafrenz a chance to showcase their talents.

Taking our place around the fountain, we entertained the crowd with an eclectic selection (say that fast 3 times!) of well-known tunes.  Highlights of the performance included Mark Lyall managing to not fall into the fountain during his energetic conducting; the luncheon spread organised by Marc (which was as usual swooped upon by a flock of hungry musos), and finally, some really great music performed by some incredible musicians (that’s the MRB by the way!).

We look forward to another enjoyable day next Australia Day.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussieoi, oi, oi, oi!
