The Melbourne Rainbow Band is proud to present Gayme On!

Video games have risen to new levels, not only in graphics, but also in providing a musical repertoire that rivals the scores of some of the best Hollywood movies.

Prepare yourselves for exciting thrills and spills, with dragons, danger, mystery, and suspense guaranteed.

Video games not your thing? Don’t panic! You may be surprised to learn that some of your favourite board games also come with their very own tunes…anyone up for a game of chess?

Dust off your last Halloween costume, or start designing that cosplay, and get ready to join us for a wonderous afternoon full of laughter and nostalgia as we journey through the amazing music provided by the world of games.

Oh, and we should mention, there is of course a prize for the best dressed audience members!

Open Rehearsal

Thursday 12th of March.

We are once again holding an open rehearsal. Get your instrument out of the closet and give us a try.

While new members are welcome at any time, the open rehearsal provides a great opportunity for players of woodwind, brass or percussion instruments who may be interested in becoming a member of the Melbourne Rainbow Band to sit in on a rehearsal and meet the band.

Membership of the band is open to people of almost any musical skill level, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Band endeavours to cater to a wide variety of musical abilities and its members range in skill, from a basic ability to read music to professional musicians and educators. A scholarship is awarded annually within the band to encourage members who are developing their music skills.

The open rehearsal will be held in the Prahran RSL Memorial Hall, High Street on Thursday 12th of March 2020.
