Australia Day 2010 saw the Melbourne Rainbow Band return to participate in the Australia Day People’s March on Swanston Street. We singularly represented Melbourne’s Gay and Lesbian community in the mainstream event before the Governor and Premier of Victoria, Lord Mayor of Melbourne and thousands of other excited onlookers.
We performed a medley of traditional Australian tunes, including Click Go The Shears, Waltzing Matilda and Drovers Dream. 
Whilst we didn’t perform any dance moves this year, our marching was great especially given the minimal amount of rehearsal time – you can check us out on YouTube. Band members have to be commended for the great turnout.
