The Band’s second performance in Melbourne’s annual Australia Day parade was once again a chance to wow the mainstream community. Being the only GBLTI group in the diverse parade, the Band stood out to the crowd of thousands, who provided a very warm reception.
It was also our first chance to try out our new marching repertoire and choreography, and we did ourselves proud. Our performance of Blink 182’s “All the Small Things” was definitely the highlight, though the do-si-do dance move still caused some confusion to a few members!
The parade itself ran extremely smoothly, and the march from Collins Street to the NGV was over before we knew it.
